Verdict

I had my X-Rays done yesterday. My ankle is not broken and it should be healed in a couple of weeks. I have to keep it elevated and iced as much as possible. I have lovely cane thanks to Milton a work, and I have a set of crutches too. The crutches suck. My armpits are killing me. My calf is getting a 24/7 intense workout from limping around on my toes. Everyone took great care of me at work, and Barb even brought me a box to keep my foot up. So there you have it... If my ankle is not better by the wedding, August 15th, then I will be hobbling down the aisle with a nicely decorated cane. Say a prayer for me...

A Night to Remember...

What a Day!!!! As most of you know, it was my bachelorette yesterday. It was AMAZING! Phase I started at around 10 am, where Cari, Melissa and Adrienne picked me up to go to breakfast. I was then dropped off at home to rest, and was given strict instructions to be ready for 330pm for Phase II. 4 oclock rolls around and nobody. I figured this was their way of making me wonder! This was getting to be too much!!! I've been driving everyone crazy, especially Marc, with my endless questions for months now. I was totally left in the dark the whole time! No clues!!! I get in the limo expecting to see everyone. Only a card and some flowers were there. I was getting scared. I had no idea what was in store for me!!! I was dropped off at Cari's, and her place was nicely decorated with penis balloons! There was great food...hot dogs and penis pasta salad...We played some games ie. I had to put a condom on a wine bottle using only my mouth...Cari also put together a few questions about Marc, and filmed me answering them. Then she played Marc's answers. She had arranged for Marc to come over awhile back, and he answered all the questions too. Very cute! It turned out well, and it was nice to see that Marc and I had a lot of the same answers. Lucky for him..Grrr...Marc had also put together a cute PowerPoint presentation, which I got to see today...no time yesterday...It was so nice that I cried, I'll see if I can put it on my blog...It was so nice to see everyone there...Little did I know what else was in store for me! Cari changed the mood by putting on Hero, and then I realized where we heard it before...281!!! I turned around and guess who was there?!?!?!?!!? JACOB!!!The dancer from 281 that we all love!!! I was screaming and laughing, he was dressed up as a firefighter! Man, it was too much!!!! He even put me on the floor and simulated, quite animately I might add, the dirty deed. We were all dying! He hung out with us for awhile afterward, and then headed to work. I was going to offer him a ride to work in the limo but how else would everyone get there?!?! I figured it wouldn't go over well with the girls. Here are a few pics of the days' events.... Phase III begins....

Here's Melissa looking hot as usual....So our first stop was at 281, where we stayed for a short time. We then went bar hopping on Crescent street, where we made lots of $$$. Cari and Melissa put together a "Buck-A-Suck" T-Shirt...man we were pulling in $$$ hand over fist! Some guys were passing out $20 bills! It was great...Our drinks were pretty much paid for the whole night...Well I have to say that have never been so drunk in my life! I threw up later that night in Cari's car (in a bag), and tossed it out the window! Ewwww. We danced and laughed the night away and here's the not so great part...My already bad ankle gave out, and I fell on the floor...My ankle was twisted so bad, that I could barely walk. Anyway, I was on my way home not long after! What a night! I had a great time and would do it all over again in a heartbeat, I wouldn't change a thing! My injury was just another part of the adventure!!! I want to thank everybody for putting this together, you guys are incredible friends, and I'm lucky I have you! You guys kept me in the dark (I can't believe you actually got me), and pulled everything off in a such a fabulous way...Love you! Thanks for making this chapter in my life so memorable.

Meet Dolce...A.K.A. Luche

Taking a nap and dreaming of his next adventure...

This boy weighs in at a hefty 7 lbs. and can keep up with the big boys. He was rescued by my friend Annick, from Little Paws Adoption. This feisty fellow was almost bald from being left outside in the cold Quebec winter. With a little love from Annick, he was well on his way to a full recovery. When Annick brought him home, he was pretty scared and tried to attack her a few times. Slowly he began to trust her, and turned into a great companion. He now enjoys spending time curled up into his mommy's neck, or lying on her lap while she paints. He also likes to get carried around in her purse in designer clothes, or likes going for a dip in the lake.

Charming Lad

Is he not the most gorgeous cat ever?!?!
Min is feeling a lot better. For those who haven't heard, he has been losing some weight and hasn't pooped in awhile. He was quite the evil kitty at the vet. They needed a blood sample, and he wasn't going to give any blood without a fight. His vein collapsed, and he was screaming and growling. All they needed was a tsp.! They tried to do it again on the other leg, and he TOTALLY FLIPPED. I have NEVER heard him scream like that! He was actually snorting! The vet tech. had to get these huge gloves (the kind you catch birds with), so that Min wouldn't claw her arms off! They couldn't get me out of there fast enough. I felt so bad. He really is sweet, to me at least! Anyway, his test results were fine but if he doesn't poop more often, he has to get an X-Ray. We'll see by the end of the week. He was fine once he got home, and was up to his old tricks...He brought home a mouse that very night...

El Stinko...

I was just sitting outside and I get up to go inside...I see something move in the grass...guess what it was?!?! A SKUNK!!!! I ran inside the house and got my camera, then went back out to take a picture of it...he saw me, and then started chasing me!!! I was screaming and running around but managed to take a pic. in the meantime! He was so close to Minou! Minou already had enough trauma from the vet for one day!

New Friend...

Vegas made a nice new friend tonight at Sherri and Judy's. We had a great BBQ dinner, while Bailey and him played. Vegas was very vocal with her and didn't stop talking! They had a good tug of war match, and Bailey enjoyed running under Vegas to trip him! Vegas slept the whole way home afterward...

Sunday Fun...

We took advantage of the nice weather today, and had some fun at Mom and Dad's cottage...



Vegas was loving the water! He was barking at the waves and biting them. His huge paws were splashing the water everywhere... It was hard to get a decent pic, he was racing back and forth...Here's one of his calmer moments...

Saturday Agility...

We spent the morning in St-Lazare, watching our friend compete in Agility trials. There were some pretty mean dogs there. Vegas almost got attacked twice!!! Anyway, here's a pic. of him taking a "break" in the nearby woods. He enjoys his privacy...

New Grad...

Vegas graduated from puppy class this evening. He was top dog in his class! (Man, this blog is getting cheesier by the minute!) In the pic below, Vegas is learning the command "Off". He did really well at it, and I find it especially useful when he's trying to kill Minou.

This is Vegas going through the tent. Our recent trip to Algonquin Park helped for this one. He went through no problem and went back in afterward.

Bad Ear Day...

Tons of rain, thunder and lightning! Vegas was brave though. As usual, it was hard to get him to go out in the rain, he always wants to run back inside! Once he gets used to it, he starts running and jumping around like a deer. He's full of personality that's for sure... I tried to keep his ears dry with a plastic bag again. Yeah, that didn't work. He's bigger and wiser now! Here's a pic of the one and only time he actually kept the bag on his head (3 months)...
